Manesi Maria-Gkreti is a PhD candidate at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Ioannina and is working on the Polymer Science and Technology Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Apostolos Avgeropoulos, in the synthesis and characterization of linear and non- linear polymers for nanotechnology applications. She holds an HFRI scholarship during the period of her doctoral dissertation. Her research interests include the synthesis of polymers through anionic polymerization and atom transfer radical polymerization, their characterization through various techniques (GPC, MO/VPO, DSC, 1H-NMR, CA, V, IR, AFM, SEM, SAXS, TEM) as well as the use of the synthesized polymers in nanotechnology applications. She received the Diploma of the Department of Materials Science Engineering of the University of Ioannina in 2015 and her MSc Diploma in 2017 from the Interdepartmental graduate program: “Chemistry and Technology of Materials” between the Departments of Materials Science Engineering and Chemistry. The published work from her research activity includes 5 publications in international peer-reviewed journals with high impact factor. She has participated in national and international conferences with 4 poster presentations.
