Moutsios Ioannis is a PhD candidate at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Ioannina and is working on the Polymer Science and Technology Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Apostolos Avgeropoulos, in the synthesis and characterization of polymers for their use in nanotechnology applications. He is a scholarship holder of HFRI for the preparation period of his doctoral dissertation. His research interests include the synthesis of polymers through anionic polymerization and free radical polymerization, their characterization by various techniques (GPC, MO-VPO, NMR, DSC, FT-IR, DLS, Contact Angle, XRD, AFM, SEM, ΤΕΜ, SAXS) and the use of polymers in nanotechnology applications. He received the Diploma of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Ioannina in 2014 and the Postgraduate Specialization Diploma "Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies" of the Department of Physics at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with a grade of "Excellent". The published work from his research activity includes 8 publications in international peer-reviewed journals with high impact factor. He has participated in national and international conferences with 10 poster presentations.
